As an early Valentine's Celebration, Isabella & I went to the
Oklahoma City Philharmonic Discover Series Concert at the Civic Center. We arrived an hour early to participate in the fun things they had set up for the kids in the lobby. Isabella got to try out various instruments (bells, tamborine, trombone, & violin to name a few), get a picture taken & dance with Phil the penguin (she got upset when she had to stop dancing with him when other children wanted to get their picture taken with him!), as well as an craft project. It was lots of fun. Then we went in the auditorium to find our seats and wait for the concert to start. The theme of this concert was music in motion so while the orchestra played the songs, they had various dancers on stage dancing... the mambo, disco, tap dance, Irish Dance, can-can, and swing. It was very entertaining! We are definitely looking forward to attending more concerts in the future!
